Knowing Where to Look
This booklet was written by Paula Lavis and was commissioned and sponsored by the National CAMHS Support Service (NCSS) in CSIP in collaboration with the CAMHS Evidence Based Practice Unit (EBPU) and Young Minds.
It aims to helps practitioners, managers and commissioners work out what evidence to look for, where to look for it, how to appraise the information and think about how to use it. The booklet covers a wide range of sources of information, but there are so many potential sources it is inevitable that we may have overlooked some. If you feel that we have missed a vital source of information, or a new source has come online then please do contact us.
We cannot promise to add every source, but will if it fits within the scope of the booklet. In the first instance these links will be added to the pdf version, and will be incorporated into the hardcopy version if it is revised in the future. The Internet is dynamic, so links do change. Please contact us if a link no longer works and we will do our best to amend it. Please email
paula.lavis@youngminds.org.uk if you have any comments or would like to suggest additional links.
